Michiel Reerink

Michiel is Vice President, Global Regulatory Strategy at Japan Tobacco International (JTI). At JTI’s Geneva headquarters he leads the Global Regulatory Strategy department, which is responsible for JTI’s strategy and responses to national and supranational regulatory developments. Before joining JTI in 2010, he worked for Imperial Tobacco from 2001 in a range of corporate affairs roles in Benelux and Germany. In 2004, he established Imperial Tobacco’s European Union (EU) affairs office in Brussels and subsequently led its EU engagement. A Dutch national, Reerink has a law degree from Leiden University and has over 20 years’ public affairs and advocacy experience in regulated industries.
